i wouldnt mind getting stewart for the 3rd rw job...he'd fit better than hemmer, because of physically. and knows how to throw a punch..but is he really a 2 way type?.....he played on top 2 lines in col.... if he played lw at all, i think he'd fit better on top line over harti n paajarvi at this point. would paajarvi omark n plante get it done? lol hell give them a 3rd too

I find the insinuation that Eberle could make 7 million come contract time if he keeps his 70 point a year production up interesting. At first glance, I really don't buy that, but if you compare his numbers (only from last year mind you) to other "well paid" players, there is defiantly an argument that he should be making that kind of coin.

It shall be interesting if he continues to put up solid numbers. I always felt he'd earn 5.5-6 million per for his first "major" contract.

Yak for Lucic is a no brainer imo. I'll trade 3-4 years of maybe responsible, maybe healthy Pavel Bure-style play for Lucic anyday. They just don't make enforcers w/ 30 goal a year scoring ability-guy's a freak.

I disagree. Cloutier has every right to chirp a team in the playoffs that chose to be bounce instead of a hockey team.

...unless of course Lucic does a "Luongo" and asks Boston to trade him, in which case the Oilers can offer a 2nd rounder for Lucic...

Considering the Oilers will be in the running for MacKinnon or Jones this year, offer sheeting Benn would likely be a big mistake.

What's worse is it's not even Lucic, it's for anyone.

I would rather trade with DAL and overpay instead of offer sheet Benn...and for Benn, I would give up three pieces for him. Two roster players and a prospect, or one roster player and two prospects.

Considering the Oilers will be in the running for MacKinnon or Jones this year, offer sheeting Benn would likely be a big mistake.

Considering your team made their way to the playoffs last year during a moderate rebuild does not mean that your a guarantee this upcoming season... considering our history of playing against each other I find it hard for your team to chirp Edmonton even during their rebuild...
